Case study

See what’s coming. Decide what’s next.

One flight.
Every system
on the roof.

A single-story commercial building, roughly 30 years old, shared by eight tenants — flown, mapped, and modeled in one visit. Awaiting flight data

This page previews a real engagement currently on our schedule. Once the drone data is captured and processed, this space will be replaced with the actual imagery, model, and dashboard from the flight — not a mockup or a stock example.

The subject property is a single-story, multi-tenant commercial building of a type common across the Charlotte–Concord metro: roughly three decades old, one shared low-slope roof, and eight independent tenant spaces below it — each with its own rooftop equipment, its own lease, and its own maintenance history layered on top of a roof none of them can fully see. That's exactly the condition a single aerial flight is built to untangle.

What this case study will include

Four views of the
same roof.

Each deliverable below will be filled in with the real output from this flight — a 3D model, two roof orthomosaics, and the dashboard that ties the findings together.

3D model — image pending
01 · 3D MODEL

Full building reconstruction

A photogrammetry-based 3D model of the entire structure and roofline, giving the property manager a navigable reference of the whole building — not just the roof — that can be measured and revisited without another site visit.

Nadir RGB orthomosaic — image pending
02 · RGB ORTHOMOSAIC

True-color roof map

A distortion-corrected, straight-down visual map of the entire roof in one continuous image — membrane condition, seams, ponding, and penetrations laid out across all eight tenant spaces at once.

Thermal orthomosaic — image pending
03 · THERMAL ORTHOMOSAIC

Radiometric heat map, same footprint

A matching top-down thermal map captured with the DJI Matrice 4T's 640×512 radiometric sensor, flagging trapped moisture, insulation gaps, and heat loss or gain — registered to the same roof, tenant by tenant.

Power BI dashboard — screenshot pending
04 · POWER BI DASHBOARD

Findings ranked, not just imaged

An interactive dashboard that turns both orthomosaics into a prioritized punch list — anomaly count, severity, and estimated affected area, broken out by tenant space so the ownership group knows what to fix first.
